Aspire on Great Day Louisiana

Great Day Louisiana on WWL · October 21, 2026

Asking for help with erectile dysfunction can feel uncomfortable, especially when you are unsure what a visit will involve. In our Great Day Louisiana interview, Aspire's co-founders shared how we approach that first conversation and get to know the person seeking care.

Starting the conversation about ED

A first visit starts with listening

A first conversation can be as straightforward as sitting down over coffee and talking about what has been happening. You may have questions about changes you have noticed, a treatment you have tried, or what your options could be. Listening is where we begin.

ED can be difficult to discuss, even with people you know well. We want you to have room to speak openly and ask questions without feeling judged. You do not need to keep your concerns to yourself while trying to work out the next step alone.

Looking at your health history

Your health history is part of that conversation. Blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, prostate history and circulation are among the topics our co-founders discussed. There is also room to talk about the emotional side of changes in sexual function and how those concerns have been affecting you.

We see younger and older adults, with different experiences and questions. Taking time to understand your circumstances helps shape the discussion about care. We do not assume that everyone arrives with the same history or needs the same approach.

Discussing treatment options

Medication options can involve different formulations. A consultation is a chance to explore what may be contributing to your symptoms and discuss an approach in that context. If a familiar treatment has not worked as you expected, that is something to bring into the conversation.

Our clinical director, medical director and wider team are part of this approach. We put emphasis on understanding the person seeking help and considering their overall health when discussing options. Your questions and experience belong in that discussion.

A local conversation without judgment

Our co-founders have ties to both the Northshore and Southshore. Supporting men in greater New Orleans and the surrounding community is central to why we do this work.

If you feel embarrassed about seeking help, you can begin with a face-to-face conversation. ED is a regular part of our team's work. A subject that feels difficult to bring up at home is something we are accustomed to discussing with patients.

If you have been wondering how to begin, you can ask questions before deciding what comes next.
